Book a maverlous hotel in Manhattan. Save big buck!
Can you name that love song? Who's that famous couple? All ages will love these games that test their knowlege of pop culture. Name That (Love) Tune - Object
- See which guest can name the most love songs.
- Play
- Played like "Name That Tune", except with paper and pens. Before the shower, make a tape or burn a CD with 10-20 bits of love songs. At the shower, play the songs one at a time as each person writes down their guess for song title and the artist. Give guests a certain amount of time (like 5 or 10 seconds) between each tune to guess before moving on to the next one. The guest with the most correct answers at the end of the game wins.
Famous Pairs - Object
- Name the celebrity couples, win a prize.
- Play
- Make two lists - an "A" and "B" column, each column listing half of a famous love pair. For example, Elizabeth & Richard, Jackie & Jack, etc. Have guests match names in the "A" column to their match in column "B". The guest with the most correct pairs at the end of 3 minutes wins a prize.
Who Am I? - Object
- There are no prizes involved in this game, but it's a great ice breaker, and a good way to keep guests mingling throughout the party.
- Play
- Before the shower, write the names of famous people on separate pieces of paper. As each guest arrives, pin or tape a name on her back. Instruct guests to figure out their secret identity by asking other guests "yes" or "no" questions such as "am I a singer?" or "am I the host of a talk show?". As guests correctly determine their identity, they can come back to you for another piece of paper.
